Rationalization social policy
A cutback in welfare work and the arrival of the Social Support Act (Wmo) prompted the professionalization of commissioning in the social domain in Amsterdam Zuid. Marco Kreuger was administratively responsible for this process. The policy objectives have been made more clear on the basis of a 7-step methodology, 21 subsidy regulations have been harmonized, subsidy criteria have been tightened, subsidy tenders have been issued and the consultation cycle with welfare organizations has been professionalized. In addition, SWOT analyses and impact evaluations have been carried out, more transparency has been provided on subsidies granted in a public subsidy register. All of this has led to a stronger focus on results and less non-committal subsidy relationships.
