Improving home buying process
On behalf of the Association of Realtors, several discussions were held with ministries about the social position of the real estate agent in an overstrained housing market. Among the topics discussed was the extent to which the broker must ensure that all buyers have a fair chance on the housing market, in light of the sharp rise in house prices and the displacement of first-time buyers on the housing market by investors and expats. These discussions helped lay the groundwork for subsequent agreements with the ministry on improving the buying process, by introducing a transparent bid book and a central disciplinary law.
